Mineral Blocks

Could some one advise me on use of mineral blocks for hoof stock?  What blocks to you use?  I am having problems with hemochromatosis in our dik dik.  I've had our diet analyzed, and it does not appear to be the problem.  They do have access to a goat mineral block, but keepers are not even sure they ingest it.  I'm wondering if it is even necessary.  Any input would be appreciated.

I'm not sure mineral blocks are necessary in any hoofstock who gets a pelleted feed - presumably formulated feeds contain sufficient minerals.
This said, you may want to consult with a zoo nutritionist. :-)

Training then for blood draw might allow therapeutic removal of iron.

Adding tannins to the diet (leafy browse and branches) can bind dietary iron. Feed a diet designed for browsers rather than for grazers, as the former are better at iron absorption than the latter.
